You are a Singer and a Songwriter. When did you know this is what you wanted to do?

I first discovered I was a singer and songwriter at the age of 6 years old.

Wow that was young. Where was this at? Where were born and raised?

I was born and raised in Oakland California.

Are you part of Mouthpiece Society? Who do you work with?

I am not a part of MouthPiece Society but I deal with them tough like. If they need anything they know they can just hit me. They’re dope. I’m actually an independent Artist. I have been getting mentored from DJ Twelvz. You know with advice and things as far as my brand is concerned. He’s dope as well but no I’m by myself.

What have you accomplished so far? Released?

In 2017 I dropped my first album/EP, self-titled Keidra. That’s available on all major platforms right now as well as iTunes. Shortly after I dropped my mixtape titled Good Genes that’s available on mymixtapez.com and a few music video available on YouTube.

Ok, so what are you working on right now?

I’m working on another mixtape I’m gonna call it Good Genes 2 and I’ll drop maybe two visuals from that one. Well that’s what I plan to do.

What separates your voice over others right now?

Hmmm I think what separates my voice from others right now is the authenticity and naturalness. I’m aware of my voice being sultry, deep, low, R&B & Gospel like. I don’t know what to call it lol. I have this old school thing going on for sure. A lot of people sound the same. I don’t sound like anybody.

Your visuals/videos are impressive. Your music is solid, I feel it competes with the Best of them. What are you gonna do to elevate what you’ve already done?

Thank you. I appreciate your feedback. I’m going to elevate more because I don’t stop writing, I don’t stop thinking of ways to top my old self and most importantly separate myself from others. I’m gonna work harder, always.

Who are your 3 wishful people you would want to work with in the Music Industry…Who would that be?

Still Michael Jackson, E-40, Toni Braxton & Jay Z.

Great pics. You mentioned Toni Braxton. Who would you say if you had to do you most resemble as far as R&B Singers to date?

Ummm people think (because I’m modest lol) Keyshia Cole, Toni Braxton and Jazmyn Sullivan. I agree.

What in your life has motivated you to sing?

I think working jobs where people telling me when to be at work and what to do and I hate people telling me what I CANT DO. Like I do what I want and when I want, soooo I’m like Keidra you are a star. You sing so do what God put you here to do. So what motivates me is wanting to be able to someday soon be able to live off my craft. I really have a lot to say that motivates me too. To put it in a song, singing is just in me. I know God blessed me with that gift I don’t want him taking it away from me.

Writing, singing, performing. Do you dance or play instruments?

I can dance. As a child I’ve taken African dance but it was for fun at EOYDC in East Oakland. I mean but I don’t do those dances today like, lol. I cannot play instruments, just my voice. I want to learn to play piano though, and violin.
